A look behind the scenes with
Industrial Tourism in Rotterdam

Industrial Tourism makes it possible to visit an
essentially non-tourist part of Rotterdam: its harbor and industrial area.You can choose to visit various companies which are situated in the area between the city center and the "Maasvlakte", an industrial area created in the sea. Normally these companies are not accessible for anyone other than employees,
an exception is made for participants of the tours. A tour by boat and/or coach will provide you with a special look behind the scenes of these companies. For example you can visit the largest container terminal in Europe (the ECT-Delta terminal), the specialized car terminal, an ultra modern waste processing plant, a large polluted sludge storage lake, and so on....

The season for the industrial tours runs from mid
April through early October with specific dates
and rates  for each individual tour.  Average duration of the major tours is some 6 hours which places these tours in the category of day tours taking into consideration the necessary  transfer from and back to your overnight accommodation.

Although private tours are possible, these excursions are primarily intended for large groups due to the relative high cost of these arrangements. For further information please contact the email listed below.
